A novel Rh(III)-catalyzed C─H annulation strategy has been devised to the synthesis of diarylisoquinolinones through a sequential C─H annulation of diarylethynes with 4H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazines. This is a direct method to generate hig...

Carbon–Carbon/Heteroatom‐Centered Diradical Mediated Synthesis of Valuable Cyclic Motifs by EnT Catalyzed HAT Cyclization
Von Wiley-VCH zur Verfügung gestellt
In this Highlight, recent reports are presented featuring three unique catalysts—Ir-based, TXT, and Al-Salen—demonstrating how the EnT process can generate triplet diradicals to form attractive cyclic architectures via intramolecular cyclization. Extensive experimental and theoretical studies have provided valuable insights, informing future strategies and potential implementations.
Abstract
Energy transfer (EnT) catalysis has emerged as a powerful and unique tool in modern synthetic methodology, enabling the generation of carbon–carbon/heteroatom centered diradicals from judiciously designed substrates. This highlight offers insights into recent breakthroughs including intramolecular cyclization, underscoring their potential to construct structurally complex, and valuable molecular architectures.
