Austrian Food Chemistry Days 2020
„Food Chemistry in the Alps-Adriatic Region”, 22. bis 24. April in Klagenfurt
The next conference organised by the working group Food Chemistry, Cosmetics and Food Contact Materials of the Austrian Chemical Society will take place in Klagenfurt in 2020. This traditional Austrian conference will go international. Together with colleagues from the neighbouring countries, the food chemists will discuss the recent advance in the relevant research areas. As usual this conference is not only dedicated to the scientific community but also to representatives of the legislation and the business world.
The recent developments of food analysis, chemical changes during processing and cooking, developments in processing, quality control, stability and safety will be discussed. It is planned to bring together scientists, legal experts and industry representatives, to establish a platform which will be the basis for future improvements and developments of the process chain. The recent legal changes and challenges will also be a topic of the conference, e.g. regulations for reduction of trans-fat.
