From the outside, academic career paths often appear linear and purpose-driven. They are also frequently portrayed as the achievements of a lone individual. In this talk, Professor Kolb will instead emphasize the personal internal monologues and external influences that shape these journeys, illustrating that career development is often far less linear and forward-moving than it may seem.Kolb aims to encourage the audience to reflect on their own existing or perceived challenges and, through discussion, to gain perspective on how their own concerns can be understood and put into context.
