Bismuth and its Molecular Compounds: a Stroll through the Useful, the Useless, and the Curiosities

Being the heaviest "non-radioactive" element, bismuth brings about some extremes in the chemical and physico-chemical properties of its molecular compounds. We aim to identify such properties, uncover new characteristics, and exploit them for applications in synthesis and catalysis.
