Inside Back Cover: “Pore‐Hopping” Ion Transport in Cellulose‐Based Separator Towards High‐Performance Sodium‐Ion Batteries (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 15/2023)
The application of cellulose separators in sodium-ion batteries faces several challenges. In their Research Article (e202300258), Xing-Long Wu and co-workers prepare a composite separator (CP@PPC) using cellulose paper (CP) cured by impregnation with polypropylene carbonate (PPC). With the assistance of PPC, CP@PPC not only opens up additional Na+ migration paths through a new “pore-hopping” transport mechanism, but also provides a flexible, safe, and environmentally friendly high-performance separator.
