A multiresponsive pseudorotaxane, composed by a dansyl calix[6]arene and a bipyridinium axle, is presented. The disassembly of this complex can be triggered by: i) protonation of the dansyl units (chemical stimulus); ii) electrochemical re...

Specific Signal Enhancement on an RNA–Protein Interface by Dynamic Nuclear Polarization
Von Wiley-VCH zur Verfügung gestellt
“In our study, we combined biochemical sparse isotope-labeling techniques, a unique DNP method, and well-established dipolar recoupling in order to create isolated polarization transfer chains that, for the first time, allow us to follow the polarization transfer chain from the protein to the RNA.” This and more about the story behind the front cover can be found in the article at 10.1002/chem.202203443).
Abstract
Invited for the cover of this issue are the groups of Alexander Marchanka at the Leibniz University of Hannover and Björn Corzilius at the University of Rostock. The image depicts the local generation of nuclear spin hyperpolarization, which selectively “illuminates” the interaction surface of a ribonuclear protein complex for solid-state NMR spectroscopy.
