Front Cover: Not Just Another Methanation Catalyst: Depleted Uranium Meets Nickel for a High‐Performing Process Under Autothermal Regime (ChemSusChem 5/2023)
Von Wiley-VCH zur Verfügung gestellt
The Front Cover shows nickel nanoparticles supported on depleted uranium oxide (DU) beads as effective and durable “microreactors” for promoting CO2 methanation. DU allows a controlled management of the extra heat generated by the process’ exothermicity, harvesting it, and turning it back as additional energy for running the process itself. As a result, methanation can be operated efficiently already under exceptionally low reactor temperatures or even under an autothermal regime (i.e., external heater switched off). More information can be found in the Research Article by L. Truong-Phuoc et al.
